Joshua National Park Adventure with Friends

We are here in Palm Springs Thousand Trails in Palm Desert Ca. where it is Sunny and warm. It is a very nice park LOTS of palm trees and friendly people. Only drawback is the sites are tight to say the least. When we arrived Gail and Mike Alexander and Sharon and John Roberts were already here and just starting to set up, after we got all set up next to the Roberts, here comes our great friends, Janice and Rick Binns. They got a site just across from us. A couple of days later our other great friends Janice and Dave Evans arrived and got all set up just behind us. It’s great that we all were so lucky to have gotten so close together. We all met up and decided to go to Joshua Tree National Park the next morning.
The day started out with a wonderful breakfast at a local restaurant Coco's Bakery and Restaurant where we had some great food and conversation. Then it was off to Joshua Tree once there we stopped at the visitors center for a map of the park.

We hiked a mile loop through some amazing rock formations and even got to see some guys do some climbing up the side of these rocks. After stopping numerous times for many more wonderful pictures along our journey through the park the Roberts and Evans headed back to the RV park. The Janice, Rick, Ed and I continued on, stopping to explore and take more pictures. It started to get late and we were starting to get hungry… so we headed into town. We found this great Mexican place in Yucca Valley. Edchadas Mexican Restaurant the food was very good, now we are all feeling stuffed and very tired, so it’s back to the campground for some much needed rest. Looking forward to tomorrow and more visiting with great friends.

A New Year A New Adventure

We started off the New Year by heading down to San Diego to see our kids, who we had not seen for a while. Not much in the way of sight seeing for the month of January, too busy spending quality time with old family friends,kids and grandkids. We didn’t have internet or phone service at the park so Ed and I played a lot cards on the computer at night after visiting with family and on rainy days.
Before we moved on to our next park, our friends Liz and Shorty Guptill show up the last week we were at Pio Pico and we got to play some Mexican Train and Rummikub. We headed into town for some In and Out Burger.
   
Good times. Then more of our good friends, Rick and Janice Binns for more good food at Filippi's Italian Restaurant with more good friends . Then we all played some Mexican Train at the family center. Great fun!

Now it’s off to yet another adventure at Thousand Trails Wilderness in Menifee to meet up with more great friends Janice and Dave Evens. We got together this evening and played Mexican Train and met some new friends Sharon and John. Welcome to our little circle y’all.
We are so blessed to be able to travel and meet all the new and wonderful friends along the way BUT there is nothing like meeting up with the really close friends you have grown to love with all you heart. Life is good. Until next time Happy Trails and Safe Travels.
