The Ponderosa Adventure

Hey y’all I know it’s been a while since my last post but I really have been very busy. It's now June 2015... I have so many great stories and pictures to share with you it may take several posts. Here we go…
After leaving Yosemite Lakes Thousand Trails we moved over to Ponderosa Thousand Trails in Lotus Ca. right on the South Fork of the American River. During the 3 weeks we were there we found many great things to do. First up… We toured the Gold Bug Mine and panned for gold.
I did a little panning for some gold here but the only thing I came away with was a bad case of Poison Oak on my left arm and hand. No, I didn’t get rich but It was still fun…

Next we roamed around Sutter's Mill where gold was first discovered.
Next we were lucky enough to be in the area to join in on an annual parade in Placerville Ca also known as “Hangtown”. This town has some buildings dating back to the mid 1800’s
Ed and I really enjoyed the Wagon Train parade and celebration it was fun. We had a great time visiting with all the local folk dressed in period duds. There were several skits they acted out in the streets. Shooting and such…
Hope you enjoy following us around as much as I enjoy sharing our adventures with you. We’re having a ball with each new adventure.
Until next time… Happy Trails and Safe Travels.
